In-person hearings at the Melbourne Magistrates’ Court are being moved online today due to a fault with the air-conditioning system.

While there is no immediate risk to safety, the building will be closed from 11am, as adequate ventilation is essential to ensure the health and safety of court users, judicial officers and staff.

Where possible, hearings will resume online from 2pm but some matters will be adjourned.   

Technicians are currently investigating the issue.
