County Court: documents recently published
The County Court has recently published the following three documents:
- Melbourne criminal jury trials (no physical distancing) – guide for the profession and court users v 6 here;
- Circuit criminal jury trials (no physical distancing) – guide for the profession and court users v 3 available here;
- Rapid antigen testing – fact sheet available here.
This fact sheet addresses some common questions including: why the County Court is using RATs to screen for entry to the Court building; whether a person who recently had COVID-19, and has finished their mandated quarantine period, can still be refused entry into the Court due to a positive RAT; and, if COVID-19 can last up to 30 days after a person first contracts it, will a person be refused entry into the Court for a month if they
get COVID-19.

Magistrates’ Court: feedback sought in relation to Practice Direction No 2 of 2022
The Magistrates’ Court is now operating under Practice Direction No 2 of 2022 here.
The Court is seeking feedback about how the Practice Direction is operating. Members who can (and wish) to provide
feedback should send it by Friday, 18 February 2022 to Amanda Burnnard Mail to: aburnnard@vicbar.com.au
CBA Dinner: 26 August 2022

The dinner will now be held on Friday, 26 August 2022.
All ticket holders should have received an email advising them of such. If you have previously registered and paid for the dinner, your ticket will automatically be transferred.
